Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Flores Jr.: B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched Rico Flores Jr. slide 42 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Anthony Hill Jr.
In the 15th pick they get a three-down second-level presence at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick43 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
The board had Nyck Harbor higher than No. 43, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick47 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Dillon Thieneman at the Round 2 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick75 Rnd3 Connor Lew
A reasonable price with a little left over, Connor Lew in Round 3, Pick 11. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick111 Rnd4 Carson Beck
Carson Beck at the 111th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick164 Rnd5 Xavier Scott
Xavier Scott in pick No. 164 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick180 Rnd6 Tristan Leigh
Tristan Leigh at pick 180 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick189 Rnd6 Brett Norfleet
They took Brett Norfleet at par in slot 189, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick252 Rnd7 Rico Flores Jr.
Rico Flores Jr. in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
