Best value of the weekend goes to the Lions for Bowman Jr.: B-.

Somebody in the 225th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Lions sat still while Billy Bowman Jr., the No. 111 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They will need Batty to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
