Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB
Larceny in No. 144 lands the Bills a D, Jones and all. Somebody took the Bills to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick 28 they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60
Rnd2
Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy in the 60th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick128
Rnd4
Javon Foster
Nice patience on Javon Foster, who had no business lasting to slot 128. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick134
Rnd4
Tyler Davis
The board had Tyler Davis higher than the Round 4 slot, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick144
Rnd5
Elijah Jones
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Elijah Jones in pick No. 144, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick163
Rnd5
Sione Vaki
A reasonable price with a little left over, Sione Vaki in Round 5, Pick 27. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick179
Rnd6
Xavier Thomas
Xavier Thomas slid further than he should have, and No. 179 is lovely value for the edge rusher. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick189
Rnd6
Delmar Glaze
By-the-book stuff, Delmar Glaze at the Round 6 slot squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick200
Rnd6
Justin Rogers
Justin Rogers at slot 200 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick204
Rnd6
Johnny Dixon
Johnny Dixon in pick No. 204 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick248
Rnd7
KT Leveston
KT Leveston at pick 248 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
