The Chiefs let Sadiq fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

The Chiefs lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Sadiq. The Muhammad pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, running back and other spots. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
