Nobody else had Baylor Cupp anywhere near the 232nd overall pick. The Bears did, by 192 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Walley value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
