The Saints treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 190th overall pick on Taulia Tagovailoa a full 98 spots early. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. However the rest shakes out, Rakestraw Jr. at that price is a win they earned.

Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The veteran additions, Jordan Love chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
