The Cowboys aced the weekend. Grade: A-. There is reaching, and then there is Phillip Webb at the 239th overall pick. The Cowboys jumped the board by 99 and dared it to prove them wrong. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.
However the rest shakes out, Alexander at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The Tyler Allgeier deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Bottom line, with Matthew Golden leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
