Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Ravens lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Ravens reached some 54 spots for Torricelli Simpkins III, and value like that does not grow back. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Landing Carter that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Mykel Williams
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a premier pass rusher at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
Value with a capital V on Malaki Starks in the 34th overall pick, a genuine coup. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick59 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at the 59th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick91 Rnd3 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at slot 91 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick176 Rnd5 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
A reach for Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in the Round 5 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick183 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
A reach on Oronde Gadsden II in pick No. 183; the board had better options right there. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick203 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at slot 203 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick210 Rnd6 Torricelli Simpkins III
They talked themselves into Torricelli Simpkins III at Round 6, Pick 34, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jason Marshall Jr.
A slide stopped in the 212th pick, with Jason Marshall Jr. worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick243 Rnd7 Kaden Prather
They reached a country mile for Kaden Prather at the 243rd overall pick, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
