The 49ers let Beebe fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

Somebody in the 132nd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Cooper Beebe, the No. 77 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Keegan has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In slot 32 they get a press-man option on the boundary, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.

They paid a round early for Leonard Taylor III in pick No. 98, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Cooper Beebe at the 132nd overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Trevor Keegan at the 215th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Donovan Jennings in pick 253 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
