Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the 49ers.

The 49ers did not so much draft Tonka Hemingway as overpay for him, 108 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Starks that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
