More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B- to prove it.

The Clay Webb selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 97 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The Hudson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In No. 11 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
They will replay Jalon Walker at the 43rd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick75 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in slot 75 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick99 Rnd3 Jake Majors
Jake Majors at pick No. 99 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick112 Rnd4 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
They left a pile of value on the table to take Antwaun Powell-Ryland this early at pick 112. The roster fit checks out.
Pick138 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce in the Round 4 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

A wide receiver of that caliber at the 232nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick255 Rnd7 Shilo Sanders
They went early on Shilo Sanders in No. 255, and the value did not follow. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
