Best value of the weekend goes to the 49ers for Washington: B.

The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Malik Washington fell into pick No. 124. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They will need Wiley to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Jackson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In the 31st overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
