Boards are made to be trusted, and the 49ers shredded theirs for R.J. Oben. He came off 142 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The Perkins Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
