The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Danny Stutsman, the No. 91 name on the board, sitting there at No. 189 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Pegues has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
