The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and McClellan: B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jase McClellan got past him. The 49ers do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 33.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Cephus left real value on the table behind him. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
