Good, not great, for the Rams: B-. The rest of the league had time to spare on Bryson Nesbit; the Rams did not wait, grabbing him 67 spots ahead at pick 201. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
However the rest shakes out, Paul Jr. at that price is a win they earned. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Princely Umanmielen
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a double-digit-sack hope, reach and all.
Pick90
Rnd3
Kaimon Rucker
They reached a country mile for Kaimon Rucker at the Round 3 slot, and the board is aghast. It fills a real need, too.
Pick101
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
Nice patience on Ozzy Trapilo, who had no business lasting to No. 101. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick127
Rnd4
Chris Paul Jr.
They barely believed it either: Chris Paul Jr. still on the board at slot 127. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick190
Rnd6
Cam Horsley
This one needs a full-page explanation: Cam Horsley in the 190th pick, miles early. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick195
Rnd6
Logan Parr
Logan Parr in pick No. 195 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick201
Rnd6
Bryson Nesbit
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Bryson Nesbit well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick202
Rnd6
Woody Marks
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Woody Marks in pick No. 202, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
