Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Giants and Nash: B-.

Somebody in No. 219 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Nick Nash, the No. 142 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If Stewart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Shemar Stewart
They jumped the gun on Shemar Stewart, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick34 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
No edge and no loss on Tyler Booker in the 34th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick65 Rnd3 Harold Fannin Jr.
They read the board right and Harold Fannin Jr. was the payoff at No. 65. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick99 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
They robbed the room for Isaiah Bond here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick105 Rnd4 Will Howard
By-the-book stuff, Will Howard at pick No. 105 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick154 Rnd5 Kobe King
Kobe King in the Round 5 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick219 Rnd7 Nick Nash
They will replay Nick Nash at Round 7, Pick 3 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick246 Rnd7 Ja'Quinden Jackson
They barely believed it either: Ja'Quinden Jackson still on the board at the 246th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
