The Eagles bet big and early on Fadil Diggs, 69 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

Dotson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
