Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bengals a B-.

The Bengals spent real capital to be 71 picks early on Jah Joyner, and the board is going to hold them to it. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

However the rest shakes out, Horton at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

The Joyner pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback, offensive lineman and other spots.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In Round 1, Pick 17 they get a workhorse for the backfield, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick49 Rnd2 Kyle Kennard
Value said wait; Kyle Kennard in pick 49 says they were not listening. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick81 Rnd3 Jah Joyner
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went edge rusher with Jah Joyner while clear needs at cornerback, offensive lineman and other spots sat open.
Pick119 Rnd4 Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson in the 119th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick153 Rnd5 Tory Horton
Circle this one: Tory Horton at pick No. 153 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick193 Rnd6 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse at the 193rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
