There is reaching, and then there is Gino Garcia at pick No. 201. The Rams jumped the board by 80 and dared it to prove them wrong.

That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
