Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Packers spent the Round 3 slot on Logan Parr, a name most had 168 spots down the list. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Hunter value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Josh Simmons
In the 23rd overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Travis Hunter
They will replay Travis Hunter at the 54th pick for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick87 Rnd3 Logan Parr
They reached into another round for Logan Parr, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick124 Rnd4 Henry Parrish Jr.
A big swing on Henry Parrish Jr. at slot 124, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick159 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick 159 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick198 Rnd6 Akili Arnold
They paid a round early for Akili Arnold in Round 6, Pick 22, more than the board wanted. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jacory Merritt
Jacory Merritt at the 237th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick250 Rnd7 Shaun Dolac
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Shaun Dolac. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
