Willyboys DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Vikings for Belton: B. The Vikings did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Anthony Belton fell into pick 160. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Luther Burden III
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick97
Rnd3
Omarr Norman-Lott
They robbed the room for Omarr Norman-Lott here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick139
Rnd5
Kevin Winston Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at slot 139 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick160
Rnd5
Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at Round 5, Pick 22 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
