Willyboys DRAFTING FOR THEFalcons
Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall

FutureB-
Noel should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a B-. The board owed the Falcons one, and it paid up: Jaylin Noel, the No. 96 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 4 slot like a gift left on the doorstep.
They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Shemar Stewart
In the 15th pick they get a problem off the edge at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
JT Tuimoloau
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on JT Tuimoloau. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick118
Rnd4
Jaylin Noel
The board fumbled Jaylin Noel all the way to No. 118, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick242
Rnd7
Shemar James
Shemar James at pick No. 242 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It fills a real need, too.
