Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills robbed the room for Shough. Final grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Tyler Shough tumbling to the Bills in pick No. 206 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

If Kandra pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Spending an early pick on specialist with linebacker, wide receiver and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In slot 30 they get a workhorse for the backfield, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Luke Kandra
They left a pile of value on the table to take Luke Kandra this early at pick 56. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jared Wilson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jared Wilson well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick109 Rnd4 Andres Borregales
Of all the spots to shop, they chose specialist. Andres Borregales in No. 109 leaves linebacker, wide receiver and other spots for later.
Pick132 Rnd4 Ozzy Trapilo
They will replay Ozzy Trapilo at the 132nd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick169 Rnd5 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse at the Round 5 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick170 Rnd5 Hollin Pierce
Somehow Hollin Pierce was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 32, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Addison West
Value said wait; Addison West in the 173rd pick says they were not listening. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick177 Rnd6 Tahj Brooks
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Tahj Brooks in the 177th overall pick, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick206 Rnd6 Tyler Shough
They barely believed it either: Tyler Shough still on the board at pick No. 206. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
