Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bills a B-.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Ty Robinson at slot 109 is 50 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

Landing Pierce that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In the 30th pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Xavier Watts at the 56th overall pick is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick62 Rnd2 Darien Porter
Darien Porter at pick 62 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick109 Rnd4 Ty Robinson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Ty Robinson this early at Round 4, Pick 7. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick132 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce in pick No. 132 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 Dorian Strong
Nothing to complain about; Dorian Strong went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick170 Rnd5 Alex Mastromanno
A wild overpay on Alex Mastromanno in pick No. 170, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick173 Rnd5 CJ West
A real head-scratcher, CJ West in the 173rd overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick177 Rnd6 Karene Reid
Karene Reid at pick 177 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206 Rnd6 Theo Wease Jr.
A reach on Theo Wease Jr. in slot 206; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
