The jury is out on the Saints. For now, C+.

There is reaching, and then there is Ahmed Hassanein at the Round 3 slot. The Saints jumped the board by 132 and dared it to prove them wrong. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

The Trapilo value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
