Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureA+
The Chiefs bled value on every deal, hence the D. The Chiefs spent real capital to be 127 picks early on KJ Jefferson, and the board is going to hold them to it.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
However the rest shakes out, Ferguson at that price is a win they earned.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
Pick Analysis
Pick127
Rnd4
Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson at pick 127 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick133
Rnd4
Pat Bryant
They jumped the gun on Pat Bryant, taking him earlier than his grade liked. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick226
Rnd7
KJ Jefferson
KJ Jefferson at the Round 7 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
