RF4916 DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Ravens, and a B to prove it. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Ravens took Jawhar Jordan at No. 226, roughly 37 spots before his name belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They banked enough surplus on Coleman to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Tyler Guyton
In slot 30 they get a cornerstone up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick62
Rnd2
Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick93
Rnd3
Michael Hall Jr.
The board had Michael Hall Jr. higher than Round 3, Pick 30, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick131
Rnd4
Josh Newton
Fair-plus on Josh Newton, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick134
Rnd4
Xavier Thomas
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Xavier Thomas. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick164
Rnd5
Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford at the 164th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick226
Rnd7
Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan in slot 226 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick248
Rnd7
C.J. Hanson
They reached a country mile for C.J. Hanson at the 248th pick, and the board is aghast. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
