Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Dylan Sampson got past him. The Ravens do not have to explain a thing at the Round 5 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The cost of the Griffith reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Ravens indulged a want in Paul Jr. while a need in quarterback and edge rusher stayed open. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
