Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Eagles let Bolden fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched KJ Bolden slide 40 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 9 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 David Stone
In pick 32 they get a wrecking ball inside, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick53 Rnd2 A'Mauri Washington
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at No. 53 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick56 Rnd2 KJ Bolden
You do not let a safety like KJ Bolden reach the 56th pick and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick64 Rnd2 Ashton Hampton
A reasonable price with a little left over, Ashton Hampton in the Round 2 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick97 Rnd3 Omarion Miller
Steal is underselling it; Omarion Miller at Round 3, Pick 33 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick116 Rnd4 Brendan Sorsby
Brendan Sorsby at pick No. 116 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick121 Rnd4 LJ Martin
A clean, defensible pick in slot 121 with a little surplus value in LJ Martin. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick123 Rnd4 Zeke Berry
Zeke Berry in the 123rd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
Jayden Jackson in slot 134 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick150 Rnd5 Luke Reynolds
Luke Reynolds at pick No. 150 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It fills a real need, too.
Pick156 Rnd5 Corey Myrick
Circle this one: Corey Myrick at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick159 Rnd5 Elijah Paige
Elijah Paige in Round 5, Pick 22 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick169 Rnd5 Trey White
A tidy bit of business in No. 169, where Trey White graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick208 Rnd6 Amare Thomas
They robbed the room for Amare Thomas here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick224 Rnd7 Elinneus Davis
A straight-up fair deal on Elinneus Davis at pick 224, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick225 Rnd7 Jordan Faison
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jordan Faison at the 225th overall pick is the proof. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick235 Rnd7 Edrees Farooq
Edrees Farooq at the Round 7 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick250 Rnd7 Stephiylan Green
They took Stephiylan Green at par in pick No. 250, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
