Krohn10 DRAFTING FOR THEBears

Overall

FutureA+
The Bears worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.
They are betting Milton III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Jer'Zhan Newton
A straight-up fair deal on Jer'Zhan Newton at No. 9, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick23
Rnd1
Jordan Morgan
In pick No. 23 they get a blindside protector. A real need, handled.
Pick40
Rnd2
Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice in the 40th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick59
Rnd2
Javon Bullard
By-the-book stuff, Javon Bullard at the 59th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick75
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at pick 75 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick85
Rnd3
Malachi Corley
Malachi Corley at Round 3, Pick 22 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick111
Rnd4
Malik Washington
Malik Washington at the Round 4 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick123
Rnd4
Darius Robinson
Nothing to complain about; Darius Robinson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick143
Rnd5
Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III at the Round 5 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
