Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Rams: B-.

Everything else got attention, and offensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Rams to leave a draft. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

If Washington II pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Matayo Uiagalelei
In No. 13 they get a premier pass rusher. A real need, handled.
Pick29 Rnd1 Bryant Wesco Jr.
In pick No. 29 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61 Rnd2 Edwin Spillman
They took Edwin Spillman at par in pick 61, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick93 Rnd3 Edrees Farooq
Edrees Farooq at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick167 Rnd5 Darian Mensah
They paid sticker price for Darian Mensah in Round 5, Pick 29, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick205 Rnd6 Elliot Washington II
Elliot Washington II in the 205th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick208 Rnd6 A'Marion Peterson
A'Marion Peterson in the 208th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick232 Rnd7 Solomon Tuliaupupu
Solomon Tuliaupupu at slot 232 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jayden Limar
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Limar at pick No. 250 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick256 Rnd7 Dylan Lonergan
Dylan Lonergan in the 256th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
