Every other box got a look, but safety did not. The Panthers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The Hill pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They will need Gadson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
