The Dolphins answered their biggest question with Simpson. Grade: A-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Ty Simpson is the Dolphins' quarterback, full stop. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

They banked enough surplus on Maiava to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

Reaching for Washington II left real value on the table behind him. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
