Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-. Hard to follow the map here. The Bills bypassed quarterback, running back and other spots to take Cobee Bryant at the Round 4 slot, a spot they had covered. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
Reaching for Turner left real value on the table behind him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Trey Amos
In pick No. 30 they get a potential shutdown corner, though the board says they badly overpaid. More want than need.
Pick56
Rnd2
Jayden Higgins
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Higgins at the 56th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick62
Rnd2
Shemar Turner
Shemar Turner in the 62nd pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick109
Rnd4
Lathan Ransom
They did well to land Lathan Ransom in slot 109, just ahead of his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick132
Rnd4
Cobee Bryant
A want over a need in No. 132: Cobee Bryant adds a cornerback while quarterback, running back and other spots keeps waiting.
Pick169
Rnd5
Chase Lundt
A straight-up fair deal on Chase Lundt at pick 169, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick170
Rnd5
Seth McLaughlin
No edge and no loss on Seth McLaughlin in pick No. 170; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick173
Rnd5
James Burnip
A reasonable price with a little left over, James Burnip in Round 5, Pick 35. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick177
Rnd6
Que Robinson
Que Robinson at the Round 6 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick206
Rnd6
Karene Reid
Karene Reid at No. 206 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
