A costly weekend of dealing drags the Vikings to a C. Somebody took the Vikings to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Royer value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Adding Najee Harris by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. The back end got a real overhaul.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Malik Muhammad
In the 18th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. Need was not the driver here.
Pick55
Rnd2
Michael Taaffe
Michael Taaffe slid further than he should have, and the 55th overall pick is lovely value for the safety. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick64
Rnd2
Joe Royer
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Joe Royer at Round 2, Pick 32 is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
