Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Ravens: B-.

For all the boxes ticked, the Ravens skipped the loudest one: cornerback is exactly as bare as it was.

Every board in the league had Stackhouse lower, and that gap is the story. Biggers at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Josh Conerly Jr.
In No. 27 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
They jumped the gun on Donovan Ezeiruaku, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick91 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at slot 91 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick128 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Joshua Farmer slid further than he should have, and pick 128 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick136 Rnd4 Tahj Brooks
Tahj Brooks is a better player than pick No. 136 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick176 Rnd5 Nazir Stackhouse
They liked Nazir Stackhouse enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 5, Pick 37. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick178 Rnd5 Connor Colby
Connor Colby in the 178th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick185 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
They did well to land Jaylen Reed in the Round 6 slot, just ahead of his grade. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick205 Rnd6 Kyle Monangai
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Kyle Monangai in slot 205. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick213 Rnd6 R.J. Mickens
Good price on R.J. Mickens in the 213th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Zeek Biggers
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 245, where Zeek Biggers graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
