If confidence were a draft strategy, the Panthers would have aced it. Antwaun Powell-Ryland at pick No. 114 is 43 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. However the rest shakes out, King at that price is a win they earned. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Panthers paired the rookies with proven help, Tyreek Hill leading the way.
