Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ward in the fold, and a B- for the Giants.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Cam Ward is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

On value alone, Amos makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. Every board in the league had Biggers lower, and that gap is the story.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Cam Ward
Cam Ward in the 3rd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick34 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nick Emmanwori at slot 34. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick65 Rnd3 Trey Amos
They let Trey Amos come to them and pounced at pick 65. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick99 Rnd3 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman at No. 99 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick105 Rnd4 Dylan Fairchild
No drama and no debate, Dylan Fairchild went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 3. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick154 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in pick No. 154 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219 Rnd7 Kain Medrano
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kain Medrano. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick246 Rnd7 Zeek Biggers
A premium they did not need to pay, Zeek Biggers a notch or two before his time. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
