Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B

The Giants kept it disciplined and banked a B.

The one they had to fix is still broken. The Giants left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Getting McGowan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Francis Mauigoa
In the 5th pick they get a cornerstone up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Chris Brazzell II
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chris Brazzell II at slot 37 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick105 Rnd4 Genesis Smith
Genesis Smith at the Round 4 slot is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick145 Rnd5 Jaeden Roberts
They took Jaeden Roberts at par in Round 5, Pick 5, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick186 Rnd6 Seth McGowan
Seth McGowan slid further than he should have, and pick No. 186 is lovely value for the running back. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick192 Rnd6 Justin Jefferson
No drama and no debate, Justin Jefferson went about where he belonged in the 192nd overall pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick193 Rnd6 Aaron Graves
Aaron Graves at No. 193 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
