Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Slaughter should have been long gone. The Dolphins pounced, and earned a B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jake Slaughter tumbling to the Dolphins in the 94th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

The Henry Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Kadyn Proctor
In the 11th overall pick they get a building block for the line at fair value.
Pick30 Rnd1 Jermod McCoy
In No. 30 they get a lockdown presence outside, and a steal at that. More want than need.
Pick43 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
They read the board right and Dillon Thieneman was the payoff at pick No. 43. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick75 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
They robbed the room for Eli Stowers here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick87 Rnd3 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. in the 87th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick90 Rnd3 Jake Golday
The board fumbled Jake Golday all the way to pick 90, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick94 Rnd3 Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick130 Rnd4 Cade Klubnik
No edge and no loss on Cade Klubnik in Round 4, Pick 30; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick151 Rnd5 Tim Keenan III
Good price on Tim Keenan III in No. 151, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick227 Rnd7 Robert Henry Jr.
A premium they did not need to pay, Robert Henry Jr. a notch or two before his time. The roster fit checks out.
Pick238 Rnd7 Raylen Wilson
You do not let a linebacker like Raylen Wilson reach slot 238 and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
