Nobody else had Joe Royer anywhere near pick 74. The Chiefs did, by 22 spots, and that gap is the whole story. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Thomas falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
