For all the boxes ticked, the Cardinals skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They will need Bowry to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Landing Thomas that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

The board had cheaper options than Jude Bowry at the 104th overall pick, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Jakobe Thomas at Round 5, Pick 3 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
