The Bears let Hart fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

With interior defensive lineman and quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on defensive back is the choice that costs them. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Haynes pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Hart falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
