Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

ValueB
NeedA-
TradesF
FutureA+
The Bills let Hunter fall into their laps, and walked away with a D+. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bills shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Hall reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That Hunter pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In No. 6 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick24
Rnd1
Olaivavega Ioane
In the Round 1 slot they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick26
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick39
Rnd2
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in slot 39 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick70
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter at pick No. 70 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick91
Rnd3
Kamari Ramsey
Kamari Ramsey in the 91st pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick111
Rnd4
Nicholas Singleton
No drama and no debate, Nicholas Singleton went about where he belonged in slot 111. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick165
Rnd5
Charles Demmings
A tidy bit of business in the Round 5 slot, where Charles Demmings graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick182
Rnd6
Taylen Green
A reach on Taylen Green in Round 6, Pick 1; the board had better options right there. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick220
Rnd7
TJ Hall
TJ Hall at the 220th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
