Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Seahawks, and a B- to prove it. There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Seahawks never got to the one that mattered most.
That Lew pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. The back end got a real overhaul.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Chris Johnson
In the Round 1 slot they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. More want than need.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jadarian Price
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jadarian Price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick96
Rnd3
Connor Lew
The board had Connor Lew higher than pick No. 96, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
