The Giants left with their quarterback, and a F to match. Nobody else had Jalyx Hunt anywhere near pick 107. The Giants did, by 45 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.
The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.
The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Davis makes the weekend a net positive.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
