Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
D-
ValueB-

TradesF
FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Packers to a D-. Nobody else had Micah Morris anywhere near slot 253. The Packers did, by 54 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Stockton falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In pick No. 3 they get a workhorse for the backfield. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick18
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 18th overall pick they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value. More want than need.
Pick46
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in the Round 2 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick53
Rnd2
Elijah Sarratt
A tidy bit of business in No. 53, where Elijah Sarratt graded well above the range. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick74
Rnd3
Malik Muhammad
No edge and no loss on Malik Muhammad in the 74th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick85
Rnd3
Julian Neal
A slide stopped in slot 85, with Julian Neal worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick121
Rnd4
Jalon Kilgore
Jalon Kilgore slid further than he should have, and pick 121 is lovely value for the safety. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick160
Rnd5
Sawyer Robertson
They reached a country mile for Sawyer Robertson at Round 5, Pick 21, and the board is aghast. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick178
Rnd5
Gunner Stockton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Gunner Stockton at pick No. 178 is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick202
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at the 202nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick237
Rnd7
Riley Mahlman
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Riley Mahlman. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick253
Rnd7
Micah Morris
Micah Morris in the Round 7 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick256
Rnd7
Ethan Onianwa
A real head-scratcher, Ethan Onianwa in slot 256 is miles ahead of his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
