The phones sank the 49ers this weekend: D+.

The 49ers went off the board in a big way for Ethan Downs, 78 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, Leonard at that price is a win they earned.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
