Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

TradesA+
FutureA+
The Packers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Packers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.
They banked enough surplus on Sainristil to cover a lot of smaller sins. They are betting Berger proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
The Packers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Bottom line, with Jared Verse leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Jared Verse
In pick 23 they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick55
Rnd2
Jermaine Burton
No edge and no loss on Jermaine Burton in No. 55; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick63
Rnd2
Kamren Kinchens
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kamren Kinchens. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick73
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
A reasonable price with a little left over, Sedrick Van Pran in pick No. 73. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick82
Rnd3
Adonai Mitchell
Nothing to complain about; Adonai Mitchell went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick109
Rnd4
Tyler Davis
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Davis in slot 109. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick113
Rnd4
Jalen McMillan
No drama and no debate, Jalen McMillan went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick123
Rnd4
Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at Round 4, Pick 23 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick135
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick163
Rnd5
KJ Jefferson
A quarterback of that caliber at the 163rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick187
Rnd6
Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at pick No. 187 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Where it fits the depth chart is the real question.
Pick217
Rnd6
Shemar Turner
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Shemar Turner at No. 217. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick219
Rnd6
Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford at the 219th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick230
Rnd7
Storm Duck
Storm Duck at Round 7, Pick 10 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick244
Rnd7
Taulia Tagovailoa
Taulia Tagovailoa in slot 244 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick252
Rnd7
Jalen Berger
Jalen Berger at pick 252 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
